| On Thursday March 6th at the regular meeting of the West Lancashire Mark Lodge No.65, the Worshipful Master W. Bro. D.M. Southward, Advanced Bro. Paul Green into Mark Masonry. The Worshipful Master was assisted in the Ceremony by W.Bro. Walls who took part in the second half of the Ceremony, and W. Bro. L.M. Riley PGJD who gave an explanation of the working tools of the degree. | |

| The candidate a vehicle inspector for the M.O.D. was escorted around the Lodge by the Senior Deacon the R.W. Provincial Grand Master Bro. Peter Connolly, the Worshipful Master was also ably assisted by two members of Freshfield Mark Lodge who were visitors, namely W.Bro. B. Molyneux PGSD who took the office of Master Overseer and W.Bro. M.A. Barton who took the office of Senior Overseer. | |

| W.Bro. M.J. Winterbottom PAGDC gave an impromptu explanation of the Grand Lodge Certificate to Bro. B. O'Hare, which the Worshipful Master then presented to him. | |
| Bro David Southward , WM thanked all the visitors , who had helped to make the Advancement a full experience for the new member, in addition to those allready mentioned were: Derek Gaskell, (George Harradon) as Tyler, David Anderton (District Rec. of Rose Croix) Gordon Kay, (Southport) and Jimmy Kontzle (Corinthian) and not forgetting VW Bro. Paul Snape PGJO and W.Bro. John Bicknell, G. Steward. | |
| Following the Ceremony some thirty Brethren and guests enjoyed a jovial Festive Board. | |
